• Parrish took game two last night but could not pull out the win against Whiteaker.  Top server was Mahala with 16 for 18 and super servers were Telsarina, Mariko, and Brintania.  We are away at Lesle today.

  • Our Book Fair is up and running and will go through November 30th.  Please stop by and pick up a good book!!
  • AVID Family Night Fundraiser is coming on Thursday from 6:00-7:00pm.  This evening is a fun filled night of BINGO. We will have many great college swag to win, along with some great blackout basket prizes.  These baskets are themed: movie night, family game night, junk food, reading basket, cozy hot chocolate basket and more.  Bingo cards can be purchased for $.25 each or 6 for $1.00.  Blackout cards cost $.50 each.  There will also be pizza, chips, candy, pop and Italian Sodas for purchase.
  • Wrestling season starts January 7 at 2:30. 7th and 8th graders MUST have a physical to join for the season.
  • Congratulations to the following classes for having the highest parent attendance at conferences last week!
  • Grieb’s Period 2 AVID Excel 6 – highest overall with 73%
  • Norris’s Period 7 Health 7 – highest 7th and second overall with 65%
  • Kuiper’s Period 1 Accel Math 8 – highest 8th grade with 50%
  • All of these classes will receive hot chocolate and donuts!
  • Attention students: If you are going out of town over the holidays and will miss any days of school, please bring a note from your parent or guardian, telling us when your last day of school is and what day you will be back to school.
  • If you miss more than 10 school days, you will be withdrawn, and then re-enrolled when you return.
  • Attention students and teachers: our annual canned food drive starts next week! It will be running for two whole weeks from the 3rd-14th of December.
  • We will be having a competition between 7th periods with several prizes.
  • We will also be having school wide incentives. Who wants to help tape Ms. Asp to a wall? Or play in a student vs staff volleyball game?! More info to come, keep an eye out for our canned food drive signs going up around the school this week.
  • We will be accepting all unperishable foods and money. Every dollar equals 6 lbs of food, start collecting all your loose change, competition starts Monday!
  • Students who participated in the fundraiser, on Friday you will be getting a pass during 7th period to be excused to pick up your cookie dough and prizes in the cafeteria. Please communicate with your parents about pick up, they may need to come help you if you sold a lot of good stuff! Any questions please see Ms. Asp in room 102.
